Before publication: Draft for legal review: payment roles and providers, subprocessors, service levels and final data deadlines must be confirmed before publication.

1. Agreement and parties

StepGiant is provided by Basal, CVR/VAT 41543582, Ved Lunden 4, 8230 Åbyhøj, Denmark. These terms apply to business customers only. The person creating an account confirms that they are authorised to bind the business.

2. Accounts and security

The customer must provide accurate information, protect login details and promptly notify StepGiant of suspected misuse. The customer is responsible for its users’ activity and access management.

3. Plans and usage limits

Features, prices and limits are shown on the current pricing page and order summary. Starter may limit AI credits, bookings, domains and removal of StepGiant branding. Pro and Business include the features displayed at purchase.

Credits are usage entitlements, not money. They cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash. The purchase flow must state whether credits reset, expire or can be added.

4. Payment, renewal and taxes

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance for the selected period and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are exclusive or inclusive of VAT as stated at purchase. The customer is responsible for applicable taxes and duties.

We may change prices or material terms with reasonable advance notice. Changes take effect no earlier than the next subscription period unless law or security requires otherwise.

5. Cancellation and refunds

Customers may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the period already paid for. Payments are non-refundable unless mandatory law requires otherwise. Export and deletion are addressed in section 14.

6. Customer content and intellectual property

The customer retains rights in its content and grants StepGiant the limited rights needed to host, copy, display and process that content to provide the service. The customer must have all necessary rights and permissions for uploaded content and personal data.

StepGiant’s software, designs, documentation and trademarks belong to Basal or its licensors. No ownership in the platform is transferred under the agreement.

7. AI features

AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete or similar to other content. The customer must review outputs before use and is responsible for their legality, accuracy and publication. StepGiant does not guarantee that AI outputs are unique or fit for a particular purpose.

8. Websites, hosting and domains

StepGiant provides tools and hosting with reasonable professional care. Maintenance, third-party failures and events beyond our control may affect availability. Domains may be subject to registrar rules, pricing and renewal. The customer is responsible for accurate ownership details and rights to its domain name.

9. Bookings, messages and payments

The customer is responsible for its services, prices, availability, cancellations, refunds and relationship with end clients. Booking reminders are operational messages; the customer may not use SMS or email for unlawful or unsolicited marketing.

Card and MobilePay payments are provided through third-party providers and may require a separate agreement. The final version must state whether the customer or StepGiant is merchant of record and who handles chargebacks and disputes.

10. Acceptable use

  • No illegal, infringing, deceptive or harmful content
  • No spam, malware, phishing or attempted unauthorised access
  • No circumvention of usage limits, security or payment
  • No resale or copying of the service without written permission
  • Compliance with data protection, marketing, consumer and industry-specific requirements

11. Personal data and confidentiality

Each party must comply with applicable data protection law. A data processing agreement applies when StepGiant processes end-client data for the customer. Each party must protect the other’s non-public information and use it only to perform the agreement.

12. Third-party services

Integrations, payment services, domain registrars and other third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies. StepGiant is not responsible for a third party’s service, but will manage its own providers in accordance with the agreement and applicable law.

13. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or suspend access for material breach, non-payment, security risk or unlawful use. Where reasonable, we will provide an opportunity to remedy the issue first. We may discontinue the service on reasonable notice.

14. Export and deletion

On termination, the customer may request an export in a commonly used format within the period stated in the service. Data is then deleted or anonymised under our retention rules unless law requires continued retention. The exact export window must be confirmed before publication.

15. Liability

The parties are liable under the general rules of Danish law, subject to limitations that may lawfully be agreed between businesses. StepGiant is not liable for indirect loss, loss of operations, lost profit or loss caused by customer content, instructions or third-party services. A final liability cap must be set and legally reviewed. Nothing limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

16. Governing law and disputes

The agreement is governed by Danish law. The parties will first seek to resolve disputes through dialogue. If that fails, disputes are decided by the ordinary Danish courts, with the competent court at Basal’s registered office as agreed venue to the extent legally permitted.
